

Maureen "Mo" Janette Sage, 65, of Henderson, NV. Passed away on January 19, 2021. Mo was born on March 29, 1955 at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital in San Diego County. She graduated from Oceanside High School in 1973. While attending Mira Costa Community College in 1984 she met her best friend Joseph "Joe" Sage who eventually were married years later on October 10, 2007 their friends called them "MoJo". Mo worked for the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles where she retired from in 2010. In 2007 she started attending New Venture Grace Church where she and her husband were involved and ran several ministries. She was also involved in a 12-step program where she helped and sponsored many people. In 2019 she and her husband decided to take a leap of faith and started looking to move out of the state she lived in all her life when she read an article about the top 10 safest cities in the country and Henderson, NV was on that list. In November of 2019 they came to Henderson, NV to look at the area and also at several homes to see if they would like the area. On January 8, 2020 they moved into their new home in Henderson. She picked up where they left off in California, they started attending Valley Christian Church and getting involved in a 12 step program. Mo loved animals and loved supporting many animal organizations. She especially loved cats and dogs to where she had adopted some of her own. She was proceeded in death by her niece Tracy Stock, her parents Bethea McMullan and Alice McMullan. She is survived by her husband Joseph "Joe" Sage, her sister Patricia Matsumoto, nieces Michelle Aquino, Sara DeMarcus, Stephanie (Stacia) Dunnam, Nephews Cary Stock, Glen DeMarcus II and also great nephew and nieces. Services will be held in Oceanside, CA and Henderson, NV at a later date.
