Maxine "Tina" Johns

Maxine was born November 18, 1949 in Phenix City, Alabama. She graduated from Central High School in Phenix City.

She married Derell M. Johns in February of 1971. She had 3 children. Maxine was loving, caring and very devoted to her family.

Sher worked as a Physical Therapist and also spent many years in the electronics industry in Las Vegas.

Maxine loved the holidays and always made them extremely beautiful and enjoyable for her children and grandchildren. Her kind heart and giving nature were her most recognized qualities. She was always willing to help anyone and be there for everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Iva Ruby and James Mack, sisters; Mina Fields, Helen Griffin, Linda Waters, brothers; Pete Creel and Jack Creel and her son; Chris Funderburk.

Maxine is survived by her loving husband, Derell Johns, children; Amy Most, Michael Johns, sister Ruby Funderburk (Raymond), brothers; Leonard Atkinson (Myra), Donald Creel (Gloria), grandchildren; Codi, Ryan, Mariah, Ivy, 5 beautiful great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Miriam will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
