Michael Carl Diez

Michael Carl Diez, age 62, passed away October 14, 2016 after battling brain cancer. He was born March 2, 1954 to Carl and Rose Diez in Winner, SD. He attended University of South Dakota at Springfield, receiving an associates degree in construction. Mike was field foreman for Framecon Construction at the time of his death. He is survived by the love of his life, June Diez and sons Adam and Trevor Diez who were the light of his life and his pride and joy. Mike loved coaching baseball, playing his bass guitar, riding his Harley and boating on Lake Meade. We will miss his calm, tender, sweet and thoughtful way of being. The world has lost a good man and it is a better place because he was here. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter, Mary. He is also survived by siblings, Monica (Bob) Muth, Yankton, SD, Margo (Dan) Osadchuk, Saint Paul, MN, Jack (Starla) Diez, Winner, SD, Merna (Randy) Greer, Black Hawk, SD, Loretta Diez, Apple Valley, MN, sister-in-law Carol (Tim) O'Brien, Phoenix, AZ, and thirteen loving nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will take place on November 5, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception in Winner, SD and a celebration of life to be held at Palm Mortuary 800 S. Boulder Hwy. Henderson, NV on Saturday November 12, 2016 from 11 AM - 1 PM. Reception to follow at the Eagles Club 310 Pacific Ave. Henderson, NV 89015.
