

Norman Ray Velasquez of Las Vegas, Nevada returned to his Lord and Savior September 7th, 2021 at the age of 80. Norman was born in March of 1941 in Aztec, New Mexico. He was raised on a arm taking care of animals, his favorite being horses.
Norman was married to Alice Armenta, with whom he shared two daughter and 61 beautiful loving years.
Norman had a big heart, but when it came to business he was a no- nonsense straight shooter. He was a Plant Superintendent for Gypsum Plant Industries for over 30 years; highly respected by colleagues and management alike.
He was a devout Christian and actively involved in his church. Norman was a Council Member at Neighborhood Church and an Elder for the Senior Ministry. He loved his family, fishing and taking care of any animal in need. He also loved jokes and teasing his grandkids who he lovingly called "Shortie" and "Rugrat".
Norman was preceded in death by parents; Miguel and Adrianna, siblings; Paul, Mary, Agnes, Bessie, Eva, Ted, Edith, Alfred and Charity, and daughters; Audrey and Carla. Norman is survived by his wife Alice Velasquez, sister Susie, son in law Allen, granddaughters Rachel (Danny), and Crystal, Grandsons Brad (Ana) and Brian (Char) and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Palm Mortuary of Henderson on October 1st, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
