

Rachel DeLeon, age 62, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday December 21, 2018. She was born February 9, 1956 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Lorenza Rendon (Diaz) and Bruno Rendon. Rachel grew up in San Antonio, Texas with her four siblings. She graduated from South San Antonio High School in 1974. Rachel continued her education, obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2002 from Northwood University, and her Master of Arts degree in 2004, from Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, TX.
On May 26, 1973, Rachel married the love of her life, Elias DeLeon, at St. Clare church in San Antonio, Texas. Together they had two children; one son Elias Jr., and one daughter, Ginnie.
Rachel worked for Daimler Chrysler for over 30 years, in various departments, ultimately retiring in 2010 as a manager in the repossession management department. Upon her retirement the family, relocated to Henderson, Nevada where she enjoyed traveling, playing slot machines, cooking, and sewing.
Rachel was a loving wife, mother, and MoMo, whom loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling on cruises to Jamaica, Cancun etc.; as well as traveling all over the United States. She was devoted to her faith, and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Henderson, Nevada.
Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Bruno Rendon and mother Lorenza Rendon (Diaz). She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Elias DeLeon Sr.; son, Elias DeLeon; daughter, Ginnie M. Budet; siblings: Ramiro and Irma Rendon, Rebecca Guia, Rosario and Joe Garza, and Bruno and Velma Rendon; and grandson's Tristen E. Budet and grandson Elija J. DeLeon.
A visitation for Rachel will be on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, Nevada 89015. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 28, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Peter The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 204 S Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
