He was a beloved Husband, Father, PaPa, Brother and Friend.
He graduated from Morton High School in Morton, IL. Class of 1968 and ICC College in 1970. After graduation Randy enlisted in the Army Reserves and served for 6 years. Randy was a Union carpenter and began his career in Illinois and moved to Nevada in 1978. He retired after 25 years.
He went on to being a building inspector for the City of Henderson for 18 yrs retiring in 2016. That same year Randy was fortunate to receive a lung transplant at UCLA for pulmonary fibrosis. Lung cancer finally took him from us. He fought a courageous battle never wanting to give up.
He was all about sports, horses, rodeos and the Western life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 yrs Kathy (Reeves) Wright, Daughter Julie Wright of Arizona, Son Brady Wright of Henderson, Brother Roger Wright of Las Vegas, Brother in laws Douglas Reeves (Carolyn) and Gerald Reeves (Francie), Grandson Zachary Minnis, Granddaughter Jessica Jeffers, Grandson Gauge Wright, Great Granddaughter Scarlett Minnis, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rollo and Marjorie Wright, Grandson Clayton Jeffers and Nephew Ryan (Pink) Wright.
Service will be at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Hwy with visitation Monday June 19th 3p to 7p and services Tuesday June 20th at 9a with burial immediately following. A celebration of his life will be held after services.
