Randy D. Winn, DVM

Randy Dean Winn was born on March 11, 1957 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Jimmie Lou Coleman and Elmer Ray Winn. His family moved to Jones, Oklahoma when we was in third grade. He had an older brother, Jimmy Ray Winn, and younger brother Bobby Cliff Winn. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother. He graduated from Jones High School, Jones, Oklahoma in 1975 where he met the love of his life, Cheryl Lynn Humphries, and married her on June 7, 1975. As he always wanted to be a veterinarian, he attended Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma receiving his Bachelor degree in Animal Science and then was accepted into the Veterinary School of Medicine receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He and Cheryl moved to Nevada upon graduation and dedicated their lives to helping and saving animals. Dr. Winn and Cheryl were always blessed with many four-legged children through the 49 years of marriage. Dr. Winn was very active in the Henderson Community providing animal care for the Henderson K-9 Unit and was the Veterinarian for the Henderson Animal Shelter for 10 years. He was also the Medical Director of Veterinary Centers of America Black Mountain Hospital located in Henderson, Nevada for 30 plus years. He was truly loved and respected by his wife, his clients, and the Henderson Community. He left us on August 8, 2024 to be with his family in heaven.
