Richard Lee Stevens, age 70, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1953 in Niagara Falls, New York. Richard attended Niagara Wheatfield High School. After graduating from high school, Richard enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam war.
After being discharged from the from the United States Navy, Richard moved to Virginia where he married Darcy Ann Stevens on March 2, 1973. Richard, Darcy and their son, Jamie moved to Las Vegas where Richard became a slot technician. He worked for many casinos and was in the gaming industry until 2014 when he retired.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Darcy Ann Stevens on on December 8, 2013; and his parents: Gordon and Dorothy Stevens. He is survived by his daughter, Correy L Stevens; son, Jamie Stevens; granddaughter, Hunter Jade Merry-Stevens; grandson, Nickolas James Angeletti; and great-grandchildren: Damien Ryan James Whiteman and Lily Anne Darcy Whiteman.
A memorial service with military honors for Richard will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:20 AM at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
