

In the early morning of October 12, 2011, Sherrie Farris-Glenn left this earthly life to meet her Lord and Savior. She was welcomed home by her mother and father, Imer and William Rickman. Sherrie was born August 25, 1936 in Xenia, Ohio. She graduated from John Adams High School. She obtained her BA in Education at Case-Western Reserve. She also obtained her Master of Library Science from Kent State University. She relocated to Henderson, Nev. in 1982 from Cleveland, Oho. She retired from Clark County School District in 2007, with 25 years of service. She also taught for over 20 years in Cleveland public schools. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Las Vegas. Regardless of the challenges and changes that life presented, Sherrie's faith remained constant. She enjoyed traveling, live shows, concerts, reading and spending time with those she loved. Her memory will be forever cherished by son, Michael Farris; granddaughter, Amia Farris; grandstepson Joseph Glenn; grandson Kevin Glenn; nephew Maurice Cave and sister-in-law, Garnette Redus. She was preceded in death by husband, Worley Glenn; stepsons, Worley Glenn, Jr. and Kenneth Glenn. Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 18 at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Hwy. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. sharp, Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista, Las Vegas.
