Shirley Faye Brooks

Shirley Faye Brooks was born on December 30, 1949 in Ogemaw, Arkansas to the proud parents of Odis Sr. and Ora Charles (both of whom preceded her in death). Shirley was the third oldest of eleven children (of which three have prededed her in death, Odis Jr., Gloria and Linda, also one nephew, Lexis). Shirley accepted Christ at an early age. She was a graduate of Fremont High School in Los Angeles, CA.

Shortly after, she met and married Jesse Brooks, Sr., and to that union their son, Jesse Jr. was born (whom we affectionately call Junior). Shirley was employed with AllenTell Products for 39 years. Shirley loved to bowl, travel, cook and bake, but most of all she loved her jewelry.

Shirley leaves to cherish her loving memory: her loving son, Jesse Jr., daughter-in-law, Shelly, three brothers: James, Wallace and Bryant, four sisters: Marilyn, Sandra, Ila and Cynthia, three sisters-in-law: Vel, Carmel and Charletta; one brother-in-law: Sterling; four aunts, one uncle, and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends. Her very special friend "LA". She also leaves to cherish her memory Yarka, Pepot, Angel, Yvonne, Melvin, and Angela, Toni and friends from Nevada. Jaylene, Dorinda and John, Cathy, Michelle and Brian, Greg and Val, Jennifer and friends.
