Susan L. DeAngelis

Susan Lee DeAngelis “Susie”, passed away at Henderson Hospital due to complications from her COPD on March 29, 2025; She was 76 years old. Susie was born August 29, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to her parents Joseph DeAngelis and Linna (Hoskins) Carpenter. She spent her childhood and her younger adult life living in Missouri. While in Missouri; she had owned a bar, had three marriages and gave birth to four children. She spent time truck driving, dancing, gardening and being a stay at home mom.

In the late 90’s, Susie moved to Las Vegas to be close to her family. While in Las Vegas, She had many jobs including bartending, housekeeping, and worked in a retirement home along with Dixie Lewis, her niece whom she loved. They were buffet buddies and the best of friends.

Susie was full of love. She loved her dog, Rosie and her cat, Lilly. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays especially Halloween and Christmas; and loved watching spooky movies. Susi would enjoy cooking and baking and would help serve the homeless along with her nephew, Darrel Stafford.

Susie had many friends and it was no secret that she knew how to have a good time; she was the life of the party. Susie had so many friends and family that supported her because of her huge heart. She would give even though she had nothing to give. Before her passing, Susie had Darrel pray over her and she gave herself to god. Susie will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Susie is survived by her three sisters: Linda McCord (Kent), Judy Mohr and Denise Nelson; her two sons: John Collins (Jordan) and J.R. McPherson (Linda); her daughter, April McPherson; her grandchildren: Skyler Cunningham, Taylor McPherson, John Collins Jr., Sabryna McPherson, and Kayden Collins; and one great grandchild, Aubree-Jayde McPherson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linna Carpenter; her father, Joseph DeAngelis; and her daughter, Jill McPherson.

Funeral Services for Susan will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Following the funeral service will be laid to rest in Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 S Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
