William Howard Clackum

William "Bill" Howard Clackum, age 87, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. He was born on November 7, 1937 in Marietta, Georgia to his parents Deward and Mary Clackum; the third child of five. At the age of 17, Bill had his parents sign for him to enlist into the U.S. Air Force where he trained to be an instrument technician.

While stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, Bill met his future wife, Delores Daniels, and they were married March 1, 1958. The couple were blessed with three children: Kathy, William, and Hank. Years later, they divorced and Bill married Beverly Clackum until her passing in 2015.

Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather; who enjoyed spending time with his family, was devoted to his faith, and an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish and tending to his garden. Bill was also a sports fan who enjoyed supporting his LA Dodgers, Minnesota Vikings and following Nascar. He lived his life to the fullest and will truly be missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Eugene and Edward; and sisters: Mary and Margie. He is survived by his children: Kathy Patterson (Wayne), Bill Clackum, and Hank Clackum (Melissa); grandchildren: Daniel, Samuel, Michael, Alysia, Brandon, Stephanie, Hank, April, Melissa, Sarah, Steven, and Christopher; great grandchildren: Alexis, Taylin, Micah, Benjamin, Bodie, Haeydin, Madysin, Isiah, Jacob, and Ethan.

A visitation for William will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Palm Mortuary Henderson, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. A military honors service with committal will be Monday, May 19, 2025 beginning at 10:40 AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005.
