

William Stanley Medalis, age 85, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. He was born on August 25,1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Frances and Stanley Medalis. In 1962, Bill joined the Detroit Police Force following his honorable service in the US Air Force. On one special trip to Las Vegas in March of 1972, Bill and Doreen were married.
In 1987, Bill and Doreen moved to Sarasota, Florida to enjoy their retirement. While they lived there for five years; traveling was always a constant; enjoying their cruises and trips to Las Vegas, until relocating to Henderson in 1992.
Bill was a wonderful husband, brother, and uncle. He was known for his great wit, honesty, directness and that clever sense of humor. He always enjoyed a stimulating conversation; and will truly be missed.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Frances; father, Stanley; and his sister-in-law, Anita. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doreen; his brother, Edward (Kathy), sister-in-law, Pauline Alex; and several nieces and nephews: Nicholas Medalis (Tamy), Katrina Barringer (Ryan), Greg Alex, Dan Graham, Christina Pelto, Patricia Schultze (David), James Graham (Jennifer) and Paul Graham.
A military honors service for Bill will be on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 11:20 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada; where he will be laid to rest.
