

William “Bill” Medina was born on 2/18/1941 in Colton, California. After his school years, he spent some time in the seminary, a Cloistered Order of Franciscans. But, ultimately took a different path. He went on to join the United States Air Force where he served as Field Medic specializing in Opticianry. Leaving the service and having a strong will to help people and his community, he joined the Los Angeles Police Department being assigned to the Rampart Division serving for over 27 years. In tandem with his professional career at the LAPD, he maintained a successful Optician Dispensary business dispensing glasses and contact lenses to a loyal customer base for over 30 + years.
William “Bill” is survived by his Wife Debra Medina; his children, and several grandchildren who loved him dearly.
Bill was married to Debra on October 26th of 2001 in Palm Springs, California. Bill was known for his infectious humor & flirtatious personality, always looking to make you smile. He was a well respected Los Angeles Police Officer receiving several acknowledgments and accommodations from the City of Los Angeles throughout his career.
Bill was a big John Wayne fan throughout his life and had adopted & lived by one of his credos which reads: “I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid-a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.”
A memorial service for Bill is scheduled for Monday July 18th, 2022 at 8 A.M. at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. It will be followed by a celebration of life reception at 904 Pastel Dusk Ct, Henderson Nevada 889012. Flowers and condolences can be sent to as well.
