Born on April 5, 1948, Eberto will be remembered for his feisty spirit, love of gossip, and as a beloved neighbor in his community. He was a life long movie fan and an avid reader. Eberto was a resident of Hialeah, Florida for many years. Though he had many health challenges through the years, he managed to stay strong and fought bravely to the end. He will be sorely missed by his family, many friends, and his 44th Street neighbors.

He is survived by his siblings, brother Carlos 'Chi Chi' Lastra (wife Debbie ), and his sister, Ana Maria, (husband Jackson Bunn)
Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010, on March 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
A committal service will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172, on March 31, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
