It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Edilia "Gigi" Rodriguez, who left us peacefully on July 16, 2025. She was the epitome of grace, kindness, and joy, and her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
Gigi had a unique ability to light up any room she walked into, instantly filling it with warmth, laughter, and a smile that could brighten the darkest of days. Her presence was a gift to all, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith.
A woman of creativity and hands-on spirit, she had a passion for painting and sewing. Whether with a brush or a needle, she poured her heart into everything she created, making beauty out of the simplest of things. Her works were a reflection of her inner light and love for the world around her.
Her love for life extended to the small joys that brought her happiness – jewelry, clothing, and, of course, her cherished shoes. She had a style all her own, one that never went unnoticed. But beyond her love for fashion and material things, it was her deep devotion to prayer that grounded her. Her faith was unshakable, and she spent countless hours in quiet prayer, offering love and blessings to her family and the world.
Gigi also had a special connection with flowers. The beauty and grace of nature spoke to her soul, and her love for them was evident in the way she cared for her garden and adorned her home with their vibrant colors.
As a mother, grandmother, and friend, she was a source of constant love, guidance, and wisdom. Her heart was always open, and she gave selflessly, never asking for anything in return. The love she showered upon her family was immeasurable, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Though we mourn her loss, we find comfort in the many memories she leaves behind. We will carry her legacy of joy, laughter, faith, and love with us always. She was a true blessing to all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
A visitation will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. Burial service will occur Monday, July 21, 2025, 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172.
