Jesus Cabello, our dear loving father, passed away at the age of 89. He was born on October 3, 1930 in Las Villas, Cuba and passed away in Sunrise, Florida on February 21, 2020. He met his wife, Elba Cabello when they were in elementary school in Cuba. They married on January 28, 1960. Jesus owned property in Cuba where he had a home with his wife and started a family. They lost their first born to illness at 6 months and then had Jesus, Maritza and Ricky. In December 1971, when he 40 years old, Jesus’ land was taken away in Cuba and he decided to emigrate to the United States to where his sisters lived in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. In New Jersey he owned a dairy distribution business for several years and worked hard to support his family. In 1993, after living in New Jersey for 22 years he decided to move to Fort Lauderdale to be closer to his son, daughter and grandchildren. He worked for several more years and then retired and lived peacefully in Sunrise, Florida with his wife, Elba until his passing. Jesus was a very proud father and grandfather of 6 boys and a devoted husband to his wife. Some of Jesus’s favorite pass times were to play dominoes with family and friends where many friendly arguments would occur over the dominoes. In his early retirement years, Jesus loved to be outdoors planting fruit trees and flowers. Many will remember him by his quick wit and good nature and love for telling a funny story to make people laugh. In the last few years he was extremely devoted to his wife and rarely left her side. Jesus is survived by his wife, Elba Cabello and his three children Jesus Cabello, Maritza Cabello and Ricardo Cabello and his 6 grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Angel, Daniel, David and Nicholas.
