

John Neville Kempster, 86, of Hialeah, passed away on October 23rd, 2011. John was born in Pontypool England to Harry and Agnes Kempster. At age twenty John was a fighter pilot in the British Royal Navy. He flew Seafires, modified Spitfires. John moved to St. Louis, MO after the war, where he was a flight instructor and test pilot. He loved the United States so much he decided to stay. Aviation brought him to Hialeah, FL in the early 1960’s where he married the love of his life, Lee. He worked as an executive for Arrow Air handling military contracts until his retirement in December 2009. He was an honorary member of the V.F.W. and a long time, loyal member of the Moose Lodge of Hialeah. John is survived by his son, Ross, and his grandsons, Chris Cappeto and Rhodes Rollins. He was loved by all who knew him. His dry sense of humor and English pragmatism will be missed sorely. Viewing will be on Friday October 28th, 2011 at 6:00 PM.
