Julia Rosa Molina de Najera

Julia Rosa Molina de Nájera, también conocida como Yuly o Seño July, nació en Juan de Acosta, Colombia, el 28 de enero de 1940, hija de Bernardo José Molina Echeverría y Delia Trinidad Vargas. Los que tuvieron ocho hijos Enriqueta Molina de Tejera, Jesús Molina Vargas, Eva Sofía Molina de Tilano, Fermín Molina, Ernesto Molina, Myriam Molina y Bernardo Molina. La sobreviven: Eva, Ernesto, Myriam y Bernardo.

Desde muy joven, Julia se destacó. Su carisma y compasión la convirtieron en un modelo a seguir entre sus estudiantes y una persona querida para quienes la rodeaban.

Estudió en el Colegio Gimnasio Moderno del Norte donde obtuvo la Licenciatura en Comercio. Luego estudió pedagogía y pasó a ser secretaria en el Colegio Bachillerato San Luis Beltrán de Manatí. Cuando regresó a Juan de Acosta, se certificó como maestra. Enseñó Contabilidad, Mecanografía y Español en el Bachillerato Juan V. Padilla.

July se casó con Alfonso Nájera el 24 de abril de 1960. El 10 de mayo de 1966, ella y su esposo emigraron a los Estados Unidos con el apoyo de su cuñada, Judith Nájera de López, hermana de Alfonso. Vivieron en Nueva York por un tiempo y luego regresaron a Miami, donde ella pasaría el resto de su vida.

En 1973 nació Mery Lisa Nájera, su hija a la que cariñosamente llamaba, "Pipiolita".

Durante más de 28 años, Julia trabajó para Mount Sinai Medical Center. Se jubiló en 2001 y se dedicó a la administración de las propiedades inmobiliarias que ella y su esposo adquirieron a lo largo de los años. Anualmente, regresaba a Colombia hasta que la salud de ella y su esposo se lo impidiera. Le apasionaba mantenerse cerca de sus raíces y siempre quiso mucho a sus hermanos y sus sobrinos allá en Colombia.

Todos los que tuvieron el placer de conocer a July disfrutaron viéndola escribir, bailar o cantar. Durante sus últimos días, todavía le cantaba a sus nietas las canciones infantiles que tanto le gustaban. Muchas de estas con las letras únicas de quiénes eran y lo que significaban para ella.

Era una madre quien brindo siempre amor incondicional, una tía devota, una hermana solemne y una abuela excepcional.

Muchos estarían de acuerdo de que Julia fue una esposa ejemplar que siempre estuvo dedicada a su familia y hogar. Ella honró sus votos matrimoniales durante 61 años. Hasta su último aliento.

Aunque no se le informó sobre el fallecimiento de su esposo, porque su condición médica era delicada en ese momento, es claro que su amor por el presintió el enorme vacío que dejaba su nueva morada. El 22 de octubre del 2021, falleció Julia Nájera. Dejando un profundo dolor a sus familiares y amistades.

Julia Rosa Molina de Nájera, also known as, July or Seño Yuly, was born in Juan de Acosta, Colombia on January 28, 1940 to Bernardo José Molina Echeverria and Delia Trinidad Vargas. They had eight children Enriqueta Molina de Tejera, Jesús Molina Vargas, Eva Sofia Molina de Tilano, Fermín Molina, Ernesto Molina, Myriam Molina and Bernardo Molina. She is survived by: Eva, Ernesto, Myriam and Bernardo.

From a young age, Julia stood out. Her charisma and compassion made her a role model among her students and a dear friend to those around her.

She studied at Colegio Gimnasio Moderno del Norte where she acquired a Degree in Commerce. She then studied pedagogy and went on to be a secretary at Colegio Bachillerato San Luis Beltrán in Manatí. When she returned to Juan de Acosta-- she became certified as a teacher. She taught Accounting, Typing and Spanish at Bachillerato Juan V. Padilla.

July married Alfonso Nájera on April 24, 1960. On May 10, 1966, she and her husband immigrated to the United States with the support of her sister-in-law, Judith Nájera de López, sister of Alfonso Nájera. They lived in New York for a while then moved to Miami where she would spend the rest of her life.

In 1973 Mery Lisa Nájera was born, a daughter whom she affectionately called "Pipiolita".

For over 28 years, Julia worked for Mount Sinai Medical Center. She retired in 2001 and devoted herself to the administration of the real estate properties she and her husband acquired over the years. Annually, she’d return to Colombia. She was passionate about giving back and staying close to her roots.

All who had the pleasure of knowing her enjoyed seeing her writing, dancing or singing. Through her final days, she still sang to her granddaughters. Each with the lyrics unique to who they were and what they meant to her.

She was a selfless mother of endless love, a devoted aunt, a solemn sister, and an exceptional grandmother.

Many say Julia was an exemplary wife who was always dedicated to her family and home. She honored her wedding vows for 61 years. Until her last breath.

While she wasn't informed about her husband’s passing because her medical condition was delicate at the time-- she swiftly reunited with him in heaven. Just 16 days later.

We’ll always remember the beautiful Julia Rosa Molina Vargas as the distinguished and forever respected: Mrs. Julia Nájera.

Julia is survived by her daughter Mery N Dominguez; and her daughter Milagros Najera; her grandchild Ghislaine Mendoza, her grandchild Adriana Dominguez, her grandchild Jorge Hurtado and her grandchild Diana Hurtado.

A visitation for Julia will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. A committal service will occur Monday, November 1, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West, 14001 Northwest 178th Street, Miami, FL 33018.
