

Agnes was born June 22, 1918 in Catawba Co. to the late Victor S. and Fleta Fulbright Hildebran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Starnes and her second husband, Glenn Ward and a sister, Elsie Walls.
She was a member of Mt. Grove Baptist Church where she had taught the Sunbeams. She also taught Sunday School for several years at Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving are daughters: Evalina S. Herndon of Lincolnton and Zelda Burns and husband John of Destin, Fl. sons: Wayne R. Starnes and wife Earlene, Kendrick R. Starnes and wife Phyllis, Larry A. Starnes and wife Yvonne, all of Hickory and Roger G. Starnes of Lincolnton, step son: Errol Ward and wife Sue of Hickory, eight grandchildren, four step grandchildren, fourteen great grand children and eight step great grandchildren, sisters: Betty Lewis of Savannah, Ga., Wilma Yoder of Fair Hope, Ala, Blaka Hoyle of Icard and Reba Dyson of Taylorsville.
Services Monday, March 14, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Craig Richardson officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at Mt. Grove Baptist Church.
