Alma Dean Sipe

Conover – Alma “Dean” Sipe, 85 of Conover went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 24, 1936 in Catawba County, NC Dean was the daughter of the late Paul Franklin and Dorothy Bost Shook. She loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, working word search puzzles and Christmas. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jewell Cassell and Jean Herman.

Dean is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jim Sipe; a daughter, Jeanne Harmon; a granddaughter, Miranda Harmon and a grandson, Derrick Harmon; 2 brothers, Randy Shook and wife Carmen, and Don Stallings and wife, Debbie; 4 great grandchildren, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastors John Shook, Steve Clark and Chris Gruver officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park’s mausoleum chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Authentic Christian Community Church in Conover, NC in Dean’s name.
