HICKORY – Anne Elizabeth Auton Hewitt, 90 of Hickory passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025.
Anne was born on January 10, 1935 in Lincoln County, to the late Theodore Auton and Beulah Holbrooks Auton. She was a retired office Clerk and attended Penelope Baptist Church in Long View.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hewitt, sisters, Hazel Dellinger and Ruby Starr, brothers, Clarence Auton, Paul Auton and Gordon Auton and grandson, Nathaniel Hewitt, USAF.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Chris Hewitt and wife Karen; granddaughter, Deena Elizabeth Hewitt, grandson; Taylor Wesley Hewitt, USN and wife Kyle; half brother, Ted Auton; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10 AM at Catawba Memorial Park with Kay Turkelson-Hewitt officiating. Burial will follow.
A Family Gathering will be held at 9 AM at Catawba Funeral Home prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to St, Jude Children’s Hospital.
