.Arthur Dale “JR” Maynard, Jr, 33, died unexpectedly on May 9, 2014 in Oklahoma. Born October 24, 1980 in Logan WV, he was the son of Arthur Dale Maynard, Sr. and Patti Ann Stowers. He was an electrician by trade.
In addition to his parents, JR is survived by his wife, Christian Sherrill Maynard; son, Isaac Maynard; daughters, Alyssa, Gabrielle, Summer and Leah Maynard; and sisters, Delia Houser and husband Patrick, Donna Slack and husband John, Amanda Lee and husband Marcus and Ashlee Fillinger and husband Allen.
A service of remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with the Rev. Fred Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
