Artis Ray Duncan

Hickory- Artis R. “Buster” Duncan, 94, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Artis was born in Burke County to the late John and Della Page Duncan on August 7, 1922. He is preceded by his beloved wife Colleen Reinhardt Duncan. He is survived by his daughters; Cathy Ray partner Jarol Young of Mountain View, Patsy Miller husband Gene Rodney Miller of Hickory, and son; Larry Duncan wife Libba of Columbia, SC, grandchildren; Lance Duncan, Ashley Lackore husband Brian, Melissa Higgs, and Jennifer Alvarado husband Joshua, great grandchildren; Chappell Lackore, Bridges Lackore, and Jackson Higgs, sister; Beatrice Setzer of Lenoir, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Hickory Funeral Home from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Earnest Richards will be officiating the services. Burial will follow immediately at Woodlawn Memorial gardens. The American Legion Post 48 will be providing military services. Online condolences may be left at www.hickoryfh.com.
