Betty Huffman Hawn

CONOVER— Betty Huffman Hawn, 86, of Conover passed away at Frye Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Born in Catawba County on July 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Earl Pinkney and Rena Bolick Huffman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Hawn, a daughter Carol Ann Hawn, a brother Earl Huffman and sisters Virginia Sipe and Earlene Bruce. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and worked for many years at Jo Belles.

She is survived by her sons Tim Hawn and wife Amy of Conover, and Eric Hawn and wife Aundrea of Conover; granddaughters Arianna Hawn of Richmond, VA, Samantha Hawn of Conover; sisters Shirley Dellinger and husband Paul of Conover, Dorothy Willis and husband Sam of Conover; a brother Eddie Huffman and wife Janice of Conover and a sister-in-law Eunice Reiter of Conover. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm at St. Peters Lutheran Church. The funeral will be follow at 3:00 pm with Reverend Kevin Graudin and Mr. Eric Hauss officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
