Bobby Dean Brown

Bobby Dean Brown, 78, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House in Sherrills Ford. He was born on September 14, 1938 to the late James Hubert and Bertha Jonas Brown in Catawba County. Bobby is also preceded by his son; Russell Gene Brown. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints in Hickory since 1974. Bobby was a member of Gold Wings Road Riders Association (GWRRA) for 18 years as the Chapter Director and Safety Educator. He enjoyed watching his favorite drivers, Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliot and was always a fan of NASCAR. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years; Brenda Brown of the Home, daughter; Wanda Harris and husband Tim of Lenoir, son; Ronald Brown of Hickory, grandchildren; Brandon Brown, Andrew Brown, Lacey Brown, Jennifer Harris, Jordan Harris, Jacie Harris, great grandchild; Issac Brown, brothers; Jimmy Brown and wife Doris and Roy Brown. A visitation for Bobby will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
