Newton – Brenda Lewis, 79 of Newton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Abernethy Laurels.
Born on August 19, 1941 in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Obid Weir and Grace Whitener Jarrett. Brenda loved to travel and tour the country.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, O.W. Jarrett and Luther Jarrett; a sister, Mary Bell Huffman.
Survivors include, a sister, Rebecca Melton and husband Jim; a son, Gary Lewis and wife Sandy; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at Catawba Memorial Park with Pastor Shea Pennington officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00am to 10:45am at Catawba Funeral
Home.
In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to Camp Linn Haven.
