I just found out and as a fairly distant friend, I'm bereft. I cannot imagine the impact Burney's passing has had on his loved ones. Never in my life have I known a man with so much heart for everyone he met and everything he did. My most sincere condolences to Bonnie and the family. I'm glad I have the beautiful lamps he gifted my wife and I.

Bonnie, Colin and I are so sad and devastated to learn of Burney's death. We had no idea he was even ill and learned today that he had passed. We hadn't received a response to our emails for months, which led us to check the local obituaries.

The world has lost a truly kind, loving and generous man and we will forever treasure the beautiful hand-crafted lamps he created for us to welcome us back to the United States.  We join you in your sadness of the loss of Burney.

I just dusted my reclaimed American Chestnut bench that Burney made for us from just the scraps that were left over from it being used for flooring. Not only did he produce a beautiful piece of furniture but added Walnut drawers because they grow in our yard. This, I think, will out live a number of generations, but will never be more fully appreciated than those he built it for. What he didn't express 'often and openly' he put in to his wood creations and his enthusiasm for life and your company. Bonnie:  I hope you are doing well.  Burnie came up in a discussion at the Silhouette shoot last Tuesday and a number of his "exploits" involving some of his younger days were recounted. Then on Sunday after a round of Clays some other fellows mentioned Burnie buzzing them with his plane while they hunted pheasants along the runway.  I think everyone in Niagara County knew him.  He was quite a guy.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Nick Capitumino

 Dear Mrs Ward Just to let you know you are in my thoughts. Kenny and I were reminiscing about the family the other day. Mr. Ward will be missed; glad I saw him last time he was up here.

Bonnie, my name is Margaret Quick and my husband is Ken.  We visited Burney in the hospital and I will have to tell you I almost lost it when we walked into Burney's room and he had his cap on, it was just the sweetest sight.  We were his friends at the fitness center.  I remember him coming in and leaning on the counter surveying the place.  We always had a good laugh over that.  His friends at the center will miss him. Take care and we will keep you and yours family in our prayers.

Bonnie, Eileen and I will miss Burney every day. He was a good friend and a good man. We are your friends and will always be here for you.
