

Carl was born October 24, 1920, to the late Baxter McLee and Sadie Velma Bowman Killian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Glenn A. Killian and Kenneth Clyde Killian and sister: Betty Lorene Killian.
He was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo. Synod. He served in the Air Force during World War II as a P-38 mechanic in England, France and Germany and still proudly flew the American flag. He was a member of American Legion Post #48.
He retired from Hickory Manufacturing after 56 years of service. His hobbies included farming, gardening, working word puzzles and he was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, Duke Basketball and Nascar with Tony Stewart being his favorite driver.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Hollar Killian of the home, daughter: Linda Weaver and husband, Robert of Hickory, granddaughter: Lisa Weaver Bull and husband David of Raleigh, grandson: Robert Shawn Weaver and wife, Leslie of Raleigh, great-grandchildren: Caroline Bull, Davis Bull, Mason Weaver, Henry Bull and Liam Weaver, brother: Worth Killian and wife, Mae of Hickory.
Services will be Wednesday, February 2, at 2:00 PM at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo. Synod with Reverends David Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery with graveside military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #48.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 – 1:45 PM at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod.
Pallbearers will be; David Bull, Shawn Weaver, David Killian, Allen Killian, Stephen Killian and Harvey Killian.
