Cecil John Wesley Queen

He was born December 22, 1932 in Catawba Co. and was the son of the late John Wesley and Clara Brown Queen.

He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod and retired as supervisor for Queen Roofing.

He is survived by his wife, Miriam Spencer Queen of the home, daughter; Mandy Baumgarner of Hickory, sons and daughters-in-law; Mark Wesley and Diane Queen of Hickory, Sherwin Lane and Patty Queen of Conover, Dwight David Queen of Conover, and Paul Darren and Ronda Queen of Hickory, granddaughters; Amanda Baumgarner, Laura Queen Tuttle, Jessica Queen, Taylor Queen, Mackenzie Queen, and Anna Grace Queen, grandsons; Jody Baumgarner, Jacob Queen, Luke Queen, and Daniel Queen, and a great grandson; Noah Aiden Tuttle, sister; Lorene “Sis” Ekard of Conyers, Ga., brothers; Robert Queen of Farmingdale, New York, and James Pinkney “Rink” Queen of Conover,

He was preceded in death by a sister; Norma Earley.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 P. M. Friday, September 7, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church. Mo Synod with the Reverends David Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #48.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
