Charles Douglas King

Charles was born on December 14, 1945 in Caldwell County to Verneice Billings Edmisten and the late Ellis Lee King Sr.

Charles had worked for Beard Hosiery.

Charles is survived by wife, Jean Gross King of the home,

his mother, Verneice Edmisten of Lenoir,

daughter, Loretta Matney and husband Ricky of Lenoir, Daughter, Donna Millman and husband William of Lenoir, daughter, Phyillis Byrd and husband Bruce of Lenoir, daughter, Kim Eller of Lenoir,

son, Terry King and wife Emily of Granite Falls, son, Gather King and wife Vivien of Hudson,

18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren,

two sisters Janice Foster and Husband James and Adele Triplett of Lenoir and a brother Ellis King Jr. and wife Pat of Hudson.

The family will receive friends at Hickory Funeral Home from Monday, November 15th from 7 until 8:30 p.m.

Services will be Tuesday, November 16th at 2 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home, with the Reverend Nicky Waters and Reverend Carl Ham officiating.

Interment will follow at Wilkies Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
