Christopher Darren Papazekos

Chris was born on May 20th, 1961 in Catawba County to Gus and Jeanette Starnes Pappas.

Chris was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and worked with the family business at AudioHaus/Western BootHaus Inc.

Chris was proceeded in death by a brother; Mike Pappas two uncles, Dennis Starnes and Arthur C. Starnes.

Surviving are his parents: Gus and Jeanette Starnes Pappas of Hickory, a brother Dr. Jody Papazekos and wife Cynthia of Hickory, a sister-in-law Robin Pappas of Hickory, nieces; Alexa and Lola Pappas both of Hickory, nephews; Nick and Jacob Papazekos both of Hickory, Uncle Nick Papazekos of Hickory, two Aunt’s Lemonia Papazekos of Athens, Greece and Peggy Putnam of Newton.

Services will be held on Wednesday March 2st, 2011, , at 4 :00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jeff Lindsay officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
