Cordie Irene Cline

Cordie Irene (Campbell) Cline was born in Catawba County on June 1, 1926. She entered Heaven’s gates on February 8, 2018. She was 91 years old. As a mother and homemaker, Cordie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, neighbors and friends. She loved to sew and made many of her dresses over the years. She also loved to spend time with her 4 grand kids. As a loving wife, she retired from work to care for her husband Lee. As a family provider, Cordie worked as a furniture inspector at Century Furniture Company. Both her and husband Lee, helped to manufacture some high-quality furniture at Century over the years. Cordie had faith in God and showed his love through her smiling face every day. She was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. Cordie resided and was cared for in her final years at Abernathy Laurels. She was loved by the faithful staff and friends there. Cordie was predeceased by her parents; Russell Campbell and Lois (Drum) Campbell, husband; Lee Worth Cline, son; Steven Cline, sisters; Lorene and Gale, and brothers; Troy, Larry, Chester, and Kenneth. Surviving family include her son, Timothy Cline and wife Carolyn of Newton, grandchildren; Travis Cline and wife Joyce, Stacy Tucker and husband J, Brett Cline and Keri Cline, great grandchildren; Elizabeth Tucker, James Tucker, William Tucker, Theodore Tucker, and Eva Cline, sisters; Maudine Rufty, Brenda Bridges, and Wilma Hedrick, brothers; Forrest Campbell and James Campbell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. Pastor Randall Cauble will be officiating the service.
