Born February 5, 1935 in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Roy Weeks and Eva Louellen Sharpe. Doris was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church LCMS and was previously employed as a supervisor of production in the foam manufacturing business.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clyde Hollar; daughter, Kimberly Hollar; and brother, Charles Sharpe.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila H Dyson and husband Chris; brother and sister-in-law, Bob Hollar and wife, Pat; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church LCMS in Hickory with Pastor Shea Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 pm until 11:45 pm prior to the service.
