Doris (Goins) Ledford

Born in Catawba County on August 17, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William Howard and Verda Lee Hoyle Goins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Lori Ann Ledford; granddaughter Lanisha Anne Miller, siblings, James Oscar Goins, Jo Herman, William “Jack” Goins, and Larry “Dink” Goins.

Her daughters Pam Chandler and Tonya Ledford of Hickory; her sons Tim Bryson of Hickory and Jeff Bryson and wife Lisa of Statesville; step-daughter Jamie Ledford of George Hildebran and her fur babies Reba Nell (her favorite child) Tia, Jack, Ziggy and Luke as well as her grandchildren Kasie Lindler and husband Scott of Hickory, Brandi Sue Bryson, Shannon Dale Bryson, Dustin Mark Bryson, Bridget Bryson Staggs and husband Caleb, Marion Carole Miller III, Keith Ledford and Samantha Hickman; great grandchildren Keely Linder-Bennett and husband Gavin, Braxton Lindler, DJ Bryson, Layton Miller, Jada Miller, Laysea Miller and Ella Rose Hickman, survive her. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members also survive her.

The family will have a gathering of friends to remember Doris on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
