He was born February 9, 1957 and was the son of the late Thomas and Cora McDaniel Martin. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and he always put the needs of his family before his own. He enjoyed golfing, beach trips with his family and playing in the pool with his grandchildren. His determination was empowered by his strong faith, loving family, and supportive friends.
Survivors include wife of 44 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Martin; sons, Derek Martin and wife Joni, Kyle Martin and Brandi Lingle; daughter, Amanda Martin and Hunter Simpson; sister, Wanda and Joe Yancheski; grandchildren; Jada, Emma, Oaklyn Martin, Jayden and Kadence; half-brother, Tony Martin.
A funeral service will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Todd Smith with burial to follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 1: 45 pm prior to the service.
