Brent was born September 7, 1950 to the late J. Frank and Helen Annas in Catawba County. He served four years in the United States Air Force as SSgt during the Vietnam War. Brent will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
Along with his parents, Brent is also preceded in death by his brother, Keith Annas.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Annas; son, Billy (Trey) E. Hefner III and wife Kelly; granddaughter, Makayla Hefner; grandson, Joshua Hefner; two brothers, Kevin Annas and wife Camille, Kim Annas and wife Judy, sister; Camille Murray and husband David; his beloved aunt, Geveta Bridges and husband Steve, numerous nieces and nephews, and a brother-in-law; Lane Maltba and wife Vickie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Nicholas King will be officiating the service. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 48.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Carolina State Veteran’s Home in Fayetteville, 214 Cochran Avenue, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
