Ernest Woodruff

Born on June 5, 1928 in Caldwell County, NC. He was one of twelve children to the late Manuel Woodruff and Dela Crump Woodruff.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 plus years, Virginia Edmisten Woodruff; seven brothers and sisters also preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory include; sons, Virgil Woodruff and wife Linda, and James Michael Woodruff; grandchildren, Charity Travis and husband Keith, and Scott Woodruff and wife Tabitha; four brothers and sisters.

Receiving of friends will be held Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Catawba Funeral Home from 2pm to 3pm.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Catawba Memorial Park at 3pm with Dr. Ed Yount and Reverend Jerry Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association at 10 Glenlake Pkwy NE South Tower Suite 400 Atlanta, GA 30328.
