Faye Carter Enloe

FAYE CARTER ENLOE NEWTON-Alice Faye Carter Enloe, 81 of Newton passed away on July 8, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. She was born on August 10, 1934 in Catawba County, to the late Oldridge Reid and Frankie Sigmon Carter. Faye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed dancing, antiquing, collecting cookbooks and fishing but especially spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Enloe, five brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Rubel L. Enloe; daughters, Lesa Deardorff and husband Robert of Bethlehem, Nina Setzer and husband Steven of Conover; grandchildren, Donna Black, Jamey Black, Amanda Manasco, Randy Setzer, Robert Setzer, Rhiannon Setzer; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Carter Heavner and husband Roger of Newton; brother, Oscar Carter and wife Reba of Hickory; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on July 10, 2016 at 2 PM at Concordia Lutheran Church with Pastor A. Mark Schudde officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
