

A receiving of friends for Florentino will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home, 1031 11th Ave Blvd SE, Hickory, North Carolina 28602. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, 921 2nd Street NE, Hickory, North Carolina 28601.
Florentino Ismael Longinos Martínez nació un soleado 15 de Junio de 1958 entre árboles, cerros y ríos que decoran su bello Zapotitlán Palmas, Oaxaca, México.
Conocido por todos como Don Tino. Tino siempre lo ibas a encontrar en su casita rodeado de sus nietos, esposa, y hijos. Tino siempre estaba listo para compartir con quien lo visitara, historias y música de su época. las películas de blanco y negro y sus programas favoritos nunca faltaban.
Tino vivió una vida plena y feliz junto a su gran amor, Paulina Herrera Martínez, ellos tuvieron 4 hijos(Pedro, José Luis, Cristian, y Rosalía)su casa siempre estaba llena de las risas y alegría de sus nietos ( Janet, David, Henry, Allison, Emma, Johan y Rosita).
Pero si nos regresamos a su juventud, hubo un tiempo donde su casa se llenaba de la presencia de sus hermanos( Silvia, Alicia, Maximino, Ofelia, Ramón, Matilde, y Yolanda) Tino con el deseo de un mejor futuro cruzo fronteras. El regreso con la idea de que un día los tendrá a todos aquí con el.
Tino fue un hombre de sabiduría, diversión y gran carisma. La combinación perfecta de un gran PAPÁ, HERMANO, AMIGO y ABUELO! Hoy despedimos a Don Tino con esa serenidad y templanza que siempre le caracterizó y el gran cariño de una comunidad que abraza su recuerdo.
Florentino Falleció tranquilo en su casa recostado en su cama, el día 6 de Junio del 2024.

Florentino Ismael Longinos Martínez was born on sunny June 15, 1958 among trees, hills and rivers that decorate his beautiful Zapotitlán Palmas, Oaxaca, Mexico. Known to everyone as Don Tino. You would always find Tino in his little house surrounded by his grandchildren, wife, and children. Tino was always ready to share stories and music from his time with anyone who visited him. black and white movies and his favorite shows were never lacking. Tino lived a full and happy life with his great love, Paulina Herrera Martínez, they had 4 children (Pedro, José Luis, Cristian, and Rosalía) his house was always full of the laughter and joy of his grandchildren (Janet, David, Henry, Allison, Emma, Johan and Rosita). But if we go back to his youth, there was a time when his house was filled with the presence of his siblings (Silvia, Alicia, Maximino, Ofelia, Ramón, Matilde, and Yolanda). Tino crossed borders with the desire for a better future. He returned with the idea that one day he will have them all here with him. Tino was a man of wisdom, fun and great charisma. The perfect combination of a great DAD, BROTHER, FRIEND and GRANDFATHER! Today we say goodbye to Don Tino with that serenity and temperance that always characterized him and the great affection of a community that embraces his memory. Florentino died peacefully at home, lying in his bed, on June 6, 2024. Grateful, for the life he lived!
