Gary Hugh Ross

Hickory, NC – Gary Hugh Ross, 58, of Hickory, NC passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born on June 30, 1959 in Haywood County, NC, he was the son of the late Brown Worley Ross and Doris Burgess Ross Davis. He was an honorary member of Sumter County Sheriff’s Department and he was a big fan of South Carolina Game Cocks. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father, Charles W. Davis; a brother, Charles F. Davis. He is survived by his brothers, Allen Ross, Randy Ross and wife Martha, and Edward Davis; Sisters, Glenda Smith and husband Van, Nancy Florence and husband Larry, and Shirley Davis. A Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations with Pastor Melvin Jones officiating on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-1:45 am at the Funeral Home. The burial will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 2:00 pm at Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Sumter, SC with Pastor Sammy Geddings officiating.
