Geneva Radford Roberts

Geneva was born February 26, 1927 in Buncombe Co. to the late Benjamin and Lola Rose Radford.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Roberts.

She was a member of East Hickory Baptist Church and retired from Hickory Springs.

Mom loved her Lord, family and church, She encouraged everyone to go to church.

Even though she long lost her ability to speak and remember due to Alzheimer’s Disease, she still often had a smile for those who cared for her and visited her.

Surviving are her daughter, Clara Robbins and her husband, Richard of Hickory and her son, Dave Roberts and Fiancée, Melissa Keller of Hickory; grandchildren Donovan Roberts - wife Dana, Lorie Houston - husband Andy, Nathaniel Roberts, Todd Robbins-wife Kellie all of Hickory; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Beavers of Murphy; life long friends Eugene and Irene Luckadoo.

Services will be Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 1:00 P. M. at East Hickory Baptist Church with the Reverend Tracy Mull (Sr. Pastor of East Hickory Baptist Church)and Reverend Paul Childers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Donovan Roberts, Andy Houston, Todd Robbins, Collin Houston, Nathaniel Roberts and Devin Roberts.

Interment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:45AM until 12:45 PM at East Hickory Baptist Church.
