Doug is survived by his sister, Ruby Hale and husband Chuck of Pulaski, Virginia; brothers, Ronnie Winebarger and wife Linda of Roanoke, Virginia and Thomas Winebarger and wife Joyce of Claremont, North Carolina; fiancé, Lillian Blair and her daughter Angela of Clemmons, North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Mary Winebarger; wife, Velma Winebarger; son, Mark Winebarger; granddaughter, Diane Nicole Johnson and sister, Jean Foley.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Catawba Funeral Home in Hickory with Dr. Ed Yount officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
