

Harold was born July 4, 1932 in Etowah, N. C. to the late Raleigh Monroe Allison and Mamie Alice Arrington Crosley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Shipman and 5 brothers, Leroy, R. J., Ernest, Bob and Gene Allison.
He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod, retired as an assistant resident engineer with the DOT, a graduate of Hickory High School and Clevenger College and retired from the Navy as a Master Chief Postal Clerk.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Hollar Allison of the home; daughters, Karen Copeland of Claremont and Barbie Setzer and husband, Eric of Hickory and Sandy Westby of Hickory; son, Michael Allison and wife, Tammie of Claremont; grandchildren, Chris & Mary Nelson, Ginny and Ryan Lily, Jamie Cook Fox, Ashley Setzer, Allison Setzer, Wesley Poole, Darian Grimm, Sarah Young, Drew Allison, Devin Allison, Cory and Jessica Westby and Kyle Westby; great grandchildren, Madelyn Cook, Grayson Cook; special friends, Bruce Caldwell of Conover and Casey Flynt and husband, Ryan of Hickory; sisters, Opal Bowman of Hickory and Joan Argiros of Hickory.
A celebration of life service will be Sunday, October 21, at 2:00 PM at St. Stephens Lutheran Church. Mo Synod with Rev. David Ziehr and Rev. David Guelzow officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
