I was so sorry to hear about Hugh. As a former classmate of his, I can remember how he treated everyone the same. As popular as he was, he made those of us that were not feel like they had a friend in him. I will always be grateful for that.

To the McPherson Family, 
 My heart hurts for you all as you mourn the loss of your sibling.  You all have a phenomenal family and I am sure great memories to sustain you.  It will stop you in your tracks as you reflect and wonder  how in the world has our normal gone to non normal.  There were a couple of times (years ago)  I would see Hugh out and he always had a smile on his face and pleasant disposition.  He truly seemed to be one most would be fortunate to be acquainted with, You all were definitely Blessed!  May the days ahead bring some joy with reflections on your brother. Hugh had a way of looking into your eyes like you would never be forgotten and how much you were welcomed to his company.  Love and God's Hands surrounding you now.

With Hugh, first meetings were somehow like always and forever...

A beautiful memory to share how the angel wings of Grandma Georgia brought family together like I'd always dreamed. Bittersweet yet a testament for looking at the silver lining.  Love, Love, Love to you!

My dear brother gone way too soon.  God must need you in the heavenly realm. I am comforted to know you are with him now from all of our Spiritual talks we had about the Lord.
I remember you as a child always making me laugh as I watched over you. From dumping your plate of spaghetti on your head and cracking up to running around naked outside with moms pantyhose on your head. You were hilarious Hugh! 
As you grew into a man we called you the great white hunter because you were always in the woods hunting anything that moved. 
You were a great brother to me. Always there for our parents in their older years. Always a stand up man that would help anyone as much as you could. 
I will see you again soon my dear brother. Until then I weep and miss you so much.  Val

I met Huey when I was 10 years old at St Stephens Optimist. From that moment all through High School I remember him being one of the top “power” pitchers in the area. He was a year older and a year ahead of me in school. But every so often I had the opportunity to pitch for our teams along side him. Even though he was older and ran in a different circle than I, Huey would occasionally pull me to the side during practice or even games to give me advice. Telling me what to throw to certain hitters as well as help me develop certain techniques to improve my arm strength in the later innings. If you never had the opportunity to watch Huey pitch pull up some videos of Roger Clemens. I truly miss playing alongside him and watching him “toe the rubber” for our teams. Heaven must have needed another power pitcher in the bullpen. I hope to see you again Huey save me a seat.
