Jack Randall Dellinger

Jack Randall Dellinger, 76, of Hickory, passed away November 3, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center, after a brief illness. Born July 15, 1939 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Cecil Paul Dellinger and Ethel Sigmon Dellinger. Jack retired as service manager at Everett Chevrolet where he had worked for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, farming, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kurt Barkley.

Jack is survived by daughters, Jackie Barkley of Hickory and Ashlee Biccum and husband Steve of Durham; grandchildren, Lauren Barkley and friend Ross Kennedy, Logan Barkley, Luke Barkley, Lawson Barkley, Samantha Biccum and Gavin Biccum; brothers, Paul Dellinger and Darell Dellinger, both of Conover; and special friend, Fay Russell and her family, especially her grandchildren, Karey Minton, Karter Minton, Lexie Russell and Olivia Russell.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Rev. Harv Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
