James William Cansler

James was born November 20, 1934 in Catawba Co. to the late John H. and Rosa Cansler, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by sisters: Doris Sease, Martha Fowler and Ann Allen and a brother: Robert Cansler.

James was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church and retired from Lindy’s.

Surviving are his wife, Glenda Cox Cansler of the home, daughter: Teresa Cansler Bowman and husband, Alan of Mt. View, sons: William Michael Cansler and wife, Jennifer of Hickory, Charles Edwin Cansler of Alexander Co. and Patrick Steven Cansler of the home, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister: Denna C. Baucom of Boone, brothers: John Cansler, Jr of Hickory and Richard Cansler of Charlotte.

Services will be Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 11:00 A. M. at St. Andrews Lutheran Church with the Reverend Richard Fritz officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:45 -10:45 AM at the church.
