James Eugene Moore

Hickory – James Eugene Moore, 72 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Carolina Caring surrounded by his family.

Born on February 9th, 1951 in Iredell County, NC James was the son of the late James Herman and Tuyla Jo Benfield Moore. He was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of 55 years, Deborah Annas Moore; 2 sons, Jim Moore and wife, Melissa and Jason Moore; a daughter, Anitra Rose and husband, Steve; 2 sisters, Pam Bowman and Cindy Howard and 3 grandchildren, Jordan, Jaelyn, and Jacee Maldonado.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in James’ name.
