Jeanette Lail

Jeanette Nellie Duncan Lail, 91 of Hickory, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025, at Carolina Caring in Newton surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on August 13th, 1933, in Catawba County, NC, Jeanette was the daughter of the late Eli Goforth and Lillian Nell Grant Duncan.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Robert Lail, her only surviving sibling is Henry L. Duncan of Hickory.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children R.L. Lail Jr., Cathy Lail Greene,

Timothy D. Lail, and Kevin Mark Lail. Jeanette had 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at 11 am with Rev David Richards officiating. She will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park following the service.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 am to 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Advent Christian Church of Hickory in Jeanette’s name.
