

He was born to the late John Thomas Munday Sr. and his mother Rita Munday on March 9, 1962 in Catawba County. John was a member of Open Word Holiness Church and worked for Hanes converting for 29 years. John proudly served our country in the United States Army for 8 years.
John is preceded in death by his father; John Thomas Munday Sr., step-father; Jim Eby, grandparents; John and Annie Munday, and Joe and Edna Woody.
Surviving are his wife, Beth Parker Munday, step sons; Jeremy Chester and wife Talisa of Vale and Jesse Sigmon of Catawba, step-daughter; Jennifer Hall and husband Brian of Granite Falls, his mother; Rita Eby of Newton, half-sister Kim Munday of Lincolnton, 5 grandchildren and a niece.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 1:00- 2:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. Pastor Matthew Sparks and Pastor Ray Isom will be officiating the services.
